GlobalGiving Badges
Aside from being a fabulous quote, this is from a very neat US charity called Global Giving. The idea is that people in developing countries who need money post their projects on this website (after going through an application process and being approved). The rest of the world can browse through the projects, pick one, and give directly. In the range of 5-15% of the money donated goes to administration. The application process is based on international standards and the US anti-terror stipulations which may be questionable, but it is a fantastic idea. Its worth checking out for sure.
